Recovery of Anthocyanins from Hibiscus sabdariffa L. Using a Combination of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction and Subcritical Water Extraction

چکیده

Anthocyanins are one of the bioactive compounds in roselle that has many medicinal proposes. placed inner part roselle; therefore, combinations two methods were applied to extract anthocyanins. The first stage is employing supercritical carbon dioxide (ScCO2) break particle surface or outer layer based on total phenolic (TPC) recovery, and second step was apply subcritical water extraction (SWE) for objective determine best conditions obtain high yields anthocyanins (TAC) from (Hibiscus sabdariffa) by a combination ScCO2 SWE. optimal (first stage) 19.13 MPa, 60 °C, 4.31 mL/min, yielding 18.20%, 80.34 mg/100 g TPC, respectively. optimum SWE (second 9.48 137 6.14 86.11% 1224.61 TAC, application integrated proved successful achieving production yield as compared previous methods. This approach may be used with greater anthocyanin’s concentration than prior method.
